Mission
Forty Thirty was founded in 1998 as a privately held corporation.
It's Mission in Arts & Antiques is for it's owner and associates to develop knowledge
of the origin and cultural relationship of the articles that reflect our generation, our
family roots and our life's experience. We share this with you, our customers and
electronic acquaintances.
Purchases
Forty Thirty sells "retail" on its Web site and places
individual items up for auction via eBay.com. Prices are always in U.S. Dollars.
On
4030.com and other 4030 associated
sites, such as the Jane
Stanfel Gallery, customers may make a retail purchase using our
"shopping cart" feature. We accept checks, money
orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit/debit via either our
secure "Plug & Pay" server or PayPal, and direct checking account
transfers via PayPal. Our shopping cart will
help determine sales tax and shipping cost, and then guide you to
payment method of choice. You can also provide any special
instructions for shipping, including gift card messages, in the
Comments section of the shopping cart.
Via eBay.com,
Forty Thirty will
confirm your winning bid via email within 24 hours of the close of auction. In that
confirmation, we will request shipping address and payment method intentions. Upon
receipt of the shipping and payment information, Forty Thirty will email the total price
including sales tax (if any), shipping, handling and insurance, and instructions on
payment choice.
Should eBay automatically extend an auction for 24 hours due to an eBay
outage, Forty Thirty will honor that extension. As a bidder, you must make sure that
your last maximum bid has been confirmed by eBay. All bidders receive email
confirmations of bids. If you don't receive an email confirmation in a timely
manner, we suggest you contact eBay via their support facility. Forty Thirty
suggests that you retain that confirmation until your receive our winning bid notice via
email. To determine if eBay has extended auctions, please visit their Announcement Board.

Satisfaction & Returns
Forty Thirty stands behind its sale to you.
Should the article not be as represented via text, picture, and/or video
in our web site, we will provide a full refund, including shipping both directions.
Notification must be made via email within 14 days of the purchase, and the article
received in unchanged condition within another 10 days.
Should you not be pleased with the article, we will provide a full refund
for the sale price. Notification must be made via email within
21 days of the
purchase, and the article received in unchanged condition within another
9 days.
Should you as a customer not be satisfied with your purchase or have questions, please
contact us immediately or you may call at 510-523-7193. Please be sure to include your name and preferred
method for us to contact you.
Shipping
eBay buyers
pay the actual cost of shipping plus a fee to cover packing
materials. Insurance is additional and is at the discretion
of the buyer. 4030 will insure via U-PIC/Package In-Transit
and is evidenced by use of USPS Delivery Confirmation.
Forty Thirty website buyers pay the actual cost of shipping, packing materials and insurance.
Depending upon the size and value of the item, 4030 will either
self-insure or insure via a mail insurance carrier such as U-PIC/Package
In-Transit.
Shipping
is by USPS First Class or Priority Mail, unless specified otherwise in the item's description or unless
arranged otherwise at time of purchase. Exceptions to USPS Priority Mail are
generally related to size and weight.
Forty Thirty proudly uses Stamps.com postage.
Stamps.com postage speeds delivery to our customers by using electronic coding

Payments
Forty Thirty accepts check, money order,
Bank Account Transfers, Visa , MasterCard ,
and Discover
Bank Account Transfers are accepted via PayPal
Visa, MasterCard, Discover payments are accepted via our secure
"Plug & Pay" server (preferred) and PayPal.
Personal checks are held for 10 business days to verify availability of
funds. Should a check be returned because of insufficient funds, a
$20 charge will
be levied.
Item will be shipped within 2 business days of payment funds being
available, unless arranged otherwise at time of purchase.
California residents must pay 8.25% sales tax.
